Supporting Wagner

Over the years we have built a reputation as one of the best places to see the work of Richard Wagner. The fully-staged, full-length Ring cycle of 2013 was a milestone in Longborough’s Wagner ambitions – described by The Times as ‘one of the summer’s most remarkable cultural achievements’ – and the only staged Ring cycle in the country in Wagner’s bicentenary year.

Since then we have continued to bring acclaimed productions of Wagner’s work to our intimate 500-seat theatre. This Wagnerian success has only been made possible by the generosity of our supporters, whether through individual donations or by being part of our Membership scheme.

In 2024 we launched the Longborough Wagner Club, an exclusive group of philanthropists committed to supporting the ambitious and long-standing tradition of presenting the works of, and inspired by, Richard Wagner at Longborough.

Every gift, however large or small, helps us to continue to bring Wagner’s work to the Longborough stage. For more information, contact Gill Powell on gill@lfo.org.uk or on 01451 830292.

"a remarkable achievement...the consummate mastery that these performances displayed, with Wagner’s vision fully realised, and on a suitably epic scale"

"Wagner’s Ring Cycle in a converted chicken shed...for the second time, Wagner’s full Ring Cycle has been performed at Longborough. It’s a miraculous achievement"
