Emerging Artist Circle: taking you behind the scenes at Longborough
Providing a platform for emerging opera singers has been core to Longborough Opera Festival for nearly twenty years. Our Emerging Artist production takes pride of place as the finale to the festival, a showcase celebrating new talent. Talented opera singers will take centre stage gaining vital experience and exposure to help launch their careers. We invest the same, time, effort, and professional expectations as all our other productions, giving artists an authentic, rewarding experience. Many emerging artists have gone onto perform in major opera houses in the UK and Europe. Our annual celebration of young talent is a pivotal opportunity for the performers and the future of opera.
To help us to continue to support new talent now and in the future, please consider supporting the Emerging Artist Circle. This is an opportunity to bring together a group of individuals who share our mission to help advance the careers of the UK’s brightest opera talent. Membership to the Circle will help us to provide our emerging artists with the most rewarding experience.
After being in Vixen, I received messages from agents and the Head of Music at the Royal Opera House after the shows they had seen and was subsequently invited to audition at Opera North too. I would recommend to any young singer to take part!

- Our application approach is accessible and open to all young artists
- We pay all singers equally, creating a culture of belonging to a fair ensemble

As part of our commitment to encouraging young people and nurturing talent we are including our Youth Chorus, who will benefit enormously from working alongside the Emerging Artists, nurturing the Emerging Artists of the future

For a minimum donation of £500 you receive exclusive access to behind-the-scenes events throughout the year and the opportunity to meet the artists you are so generously supporting.
