Reciprocal membership of the Metropolitan Opera Club, New York
Longborough members at Benefactor level and above can enjoy access to the Metropolitan Opera Club.
New York’s Metropolitan Opera Club is open for approximately 100 opera performances each Met season. The Club dates back to 1893. Besides access to performances, the Club's home is an exclusive, chandeliered private dining room at Dress Circle level, with its own catering facilities, accessible by private elevator. The atmosphere is collegiate, and you will undoubtedly make friends!
The Club is a unique cultural institution, providing its members the opportunity for added enjoyment of the Met's world class repertoire. Members often get to know singers, chorus and orchestra members personally. There are frequent pre-performance talks, increasing the depth of understanding of the Met's outstanding programme.

What's on: Metropolitan Opera Club 2025-2026 season
"As Longborough's American Ambassador and Treasurer of New York's Metropolitan Opera Club, I encourage LFO members at benefactor level and above to make use of the reciprocal arrangement between LFO and the Club.
I noticed a number of Opera Club members made the trip to Longborough during the season and I hope an increase in two-way traffic can be encouraged.
Met highlights for 25/26 include Arabella - Richard Strauss Nov 10 - 29; Andrea Chénier - Umberto Giordano November 10 - 29; I Puritani Vincenzo Bellini Dec 31 - Jan 18; and especially for Longborough aficionados, a new production of Tristan und Isolde, with Lise Davidsen as Isolde and Michael Spyres, Tristan.
Enjoying the Met from the vantage point of the Club's elegant dining room located at dress circle level is a special experience. Our members will make you most welcome.
Ascending from the entrance level by elevator, pressing the Opera Club button and emerging directly into our very special space is certainly unusual. I hope to welcome you there." – Gerald Malone
