Viktoriia Balan

Soprano

Ukrainian lirico-spinto  soprano Viktoriia Balan graduated in 2020 with a Master’s degree in Opera Singing from the Odessa National Music Academy. 

Since 2022, she has been based in Italy, where she trained at the Mascagni Academy in Livorno and participated in masterclasses with Raina Kabaivanska and Daniela Barcellona. 

Her awards include First Prize at the Spazio Musica Competition in Orvieto (2024) and Second Prize at the Franco Bonisolli Competition in Rovereto (2025). She was engaged at the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto for the 2024-2025 season, where she performed in concerts and made her Italian operatic debut as the Countess in Le nozze di Figaro, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, and Gemella in Procedura Penale.

In 2025, she appeared as a soprano soloist in Rossini’s Stabat Mater. In 2026, she debuted the role of Anna in I cavalieri di Ekebù by Zandonai in Rovereto.
