Timothy Dawkins

Bass

Timothy Dawkins studied at the RCM (scholarship). He joined GFO and was awarded the Erich Vietheer Award to "a promising Glyndebourne singer". He has sung with Scottish Opera, Opera North, ENO and The Royal Opera.

Operatic roles include Leporello/Don Giovanni (Batignano Italy), Sparafucile/Rigoletto, Ashby/La Fanciulla del West, Badger, Parson/The Cunning Little Vixen, Angelotti/Tosca, Surin/Queen of Spades, Der Haushofmeister/Capriccio and Maître André/Fortunio (Grange Park Opera); Graf Dominik/Arabella (Glyndebourne); Colline/La bohème, Tom/Un ballo in maschera, Jake Wallace/La fanciulla del West, Quinault/Adriana Lecouvreur, Don Fernando/Fidelio (Opera Holland Park); Le Spectre/Hamlet (Chelsea Opera); Superintendent Budd/Albert Herring (ETO and Aldeburgh Festival); Speaker/The Magic Flute (London City Opera/Columbia Artists USA tour); and roles in The Fairy Queen (English Bach Festival).

Recordings include roles in Goehr's Arianna for the NMC label.
