French opera conductor Sonia Ben-Santamaria is a Royal Opera House Jette Parker Artist for the 2017/18 season and has recently founded Glass Ceiling Opera & Orchestra.
Sonia trained at the English National Opera, the National Opera Studio, the Royal Academy of Music and the Conservatoire National de Toulouse, France.
She has won awards including the Leonard Hancock Memorial Trust Prize, the Musicians' Benevolant Fund Award for Répétiteurs and Major Van Someren-Godfrey Memorial Prize for Accompaniment in English Song.
