Rosie Purdie

Assistant Director

Rosie studied Music at the University of Bristol and upon graduating she trained at The King’s Head Theatre. Rosie is a recipient of the JMK Leverhulme Trust Assistant Director bursary.

Assistant Directing credits include: The Marriage of Figaro (OperaUpClose); Il trovatore (Scottish Opera); Riders to the Sea, Sāvitri (British Youth Opera); Merlin (Nuffield Theatre); Opera Scenes (Royal Academy of Music); Noye’s Fludde (Blackheath Halls Opera); Tosca, Patience (English Touring Opera); King Arthur (Barbican); and The Cunning Little Vixen (Royal College of Music).

In 2016 Rosie directed the Christine Collins Young Artist’s performance of La bohème at Opera Holland Park. A recent engagement was as Staff Director with English Touring Opera on their Spring Tour and in summer 2017 Rosie revived ETO’s Tosca in Tallinn, Estonia.
