Originally from Kansas, Richard Roberts is a former principal artist at the Staatstheater Kassel and English National Opera. He has also appeared as a guest artist for the companies including the Danish National Opera, Theater Kiel, Theater Krefeld and Volkstheater Rostock. His many roles have included The Witch/Hänsel und Gretel, Monostatos/Die Zauberflöte, Truffaldino/The Love for Three Oranges, Platon Karataev/War and Peace, Rinuccio/Gianni Schicchi, Edmondo/Manon Lescaut, Pang/Turandot, Alfred/Die Fledermaus, Young Guard/King Priam, David/Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg and Walther/Tannhäuser.
