Ralf Higgins

Assistant Director

Ralf studied Expressive Arts (Theatre and Performance Art) at Brighton University. He cofounded Alarmist Theatre in Brighton, representing the UK at the first Moscow University Festival of Avant-Garde Theatre with Mayakovsky's The Bedbug. For 14 years he was an Associate Artist with Kaos Theatre UK, touring nationally and internationally.

Roles include Jack Worthing/The Importance of Being Earnest (three national tours, winner of The Stage award for Best Ensemble); Daniel Defoe, title role/Moll Flanders (national tour); Demetrius, Bottom/A Midsummer Night’s Dream (national tour); title role/Richard III (national tour, nominated for 'best performance in a visiting production' Manchester Evening News Theatre Awards); Laertes/Who Goes There with DreamThinkSpeak (Brighton International Festival, Toneelschuur Theatre, Haarlem); Prospero/The Tempest, Duncan, Macduff/Macbeth, Tony Chestnutt/Memory Point(s) with Platform 4 Theatre. Work for Glyndebourne Festival Opera includes L'elisir d'amore, The Rape of Lucretia, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Hamlet.
