Matthew Siveter (Emerging Artist)

Baritone

Having studied at Royal Holloway, Matthew has gone on to work extensively in comedic opera with a focus on operetta and The Savoy Operas. Recent credits include a tour of Macbeth with Mid Wales Opera and covering Satan & Swineherd in a double bill of Larmes de couteau/Full Moon in March at The Royal Opera House.

He has been a regular principal with The National Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company for a number of years. He has worked both in London and on tour with companies such as Opera della Luna (Jupiter, Captain Corcoran), Charles Court Opera (Grosvenor, Katisha, Mountararat, Captain Corcoran) in several award nominated/winning productions. Matthew is a guest soloist with Tarantara Productions and also sang Sgt of Police in Lyric Opera Ireland’s The Pirates of Penzance.

Matthew covered and went on as Escamillo in Longborough’s Carmen. He has performed roles at The Buxton International Festival (Orphée aux enfers) and Iford Arts Festival (Candide) and will be returning to IF Opera as Frank in Die Fledermaus. Matthew is a British Youth Opera ‘Serena Fenwick Artist.
