Lawrence has appeared with companies including Royal Opera House, Grange Park Opera, Opera Holland Park, Wexford Festival Opera, Gothic Opera, West Green House Opera, Cardiff Opera, University College Opera, Aylesbury Opera, Blackheath Halls Opera, New Sussex Opera, Hampstead Garden Opera and Hurn Court Opera.

Roles include Stárek (Jenůfa), John Hale (The Crucible), Olin Blitch (Susannah), Alcindoro (la Bohème), Norberg (La Nonne Sanglante), Speaker/2nd Armed Man (Die Zauberflöte), Zalzal (L’etoile), Apollo/La Notte in Cavalli’s L’Egisto. He created the roles of William James/Edmund Gosse in Alberto Caruso/ Colm Tóibín’s The Master, with Wexford Festival Opera. This year he created the Role of John Quinn in Lady Gregory in America, also with the Wexford Festival.

Lawrence studied at Trinity Laban, and was generously supported by the Kathleen Roberts and Morag Noble Vocal Scholarships.

Solo concert repertoire includes Mozart Requiem, Rossini Petite Messe Solennelle, Handel Messiah and Samson (Harapha), Stainer Crucifixion, Vaughn Williams’ Five Mystical Songs, Faure Requiem, Haydn Creation and Nelson Mass, Bach Wachet! Betet! Betet! Wachet!, Ich Habe Genug, and Christmas Oratorio. He has sung the roles of Sir Richard Cholmondeley/ Leonard Meryll in a concert version of Yeomen of the Guard with the Burgate Singers.
