Kelvin Lim is one of the UK’s most sought-after vocal coaches, known especially for his expertise in the dramatic repertoire of Wagner. He has worked for companies including Royal Ballet and Opera, ENO, Opera Holland Park and Grange Park, and recently assisted Tomas Hanus at WNO on Der fliegende Holländer.
He enjoys a long-standing association with Longborough Festival Opera, working on all their Wagner operas, including two Ring cycles. Kelvin is the Musical Director for Opera Scenes at Trinity Laban, has also led Opera Scenes at the GMSD, is a frequent panellist for Royal Opera House chorus auditions and is a tutor at Festival of Voice. He is a recipient of the Bayreuth Bursary. He also founded his own company, Opera Forge and will conduct Die Walküre directed by Sir John Tomlinson in 2026. Future engagements include assisting Paul Daniel on Turandot (St Endellion Festival), and conducting Aida for Instant Opera.
