Katie is a director, performer, and assistant director who has worked in the opera industry for 12 years. Katie graduated with a Masters from Trinity Laban Conservatoire in 2021, having previously graduated from Cardiff University with a B.A. in Music and History.
Recent production credits include: Director (Hansel and Gretel, Diva Opera), Assistant Director (Zoo!, English Touring Opera), Staff Director (Tamerlano/Agrippina/Ottone, ETO), Director (Mrs Pack, Edinburgh Fringe Festival), Assistant Director (The Magic Flute/ La bohème, Oxford Opera), Director (Dido, All Aboard Opera!), Director (Suor Angelica, Opera Anywhere), Assistant Director (Così fan tutte, Diva Opera), Assistant Director (Orfeo ed Euridice / Zanetto, Barefoot Opera), Director (GRRRLZ, DIY Theatre), Director (The Marriage of Figaro, Puzzlepiece Opera), Director, (The Impresario, Opera in a Box), Assistant Director (I Capuleti e i Montecchi, Over the Pond Prod.). Katie is also co-founder of All Aboard Opera!, an initiative founded to promote innovation and accessibility in opera. She is Oxford Opera’s Director of Education and Outreach, and previously worked as Creation Theatre’s education administrator. Katie was mentored by Noa Naamat as part of the Jette Parker Young Artist Scheme with the Royal Opera House.
