2018 saw Idunnu Münch's first engagements at English National Opera in London, where she returned for new productions of Dvořák's Rusalka and Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld during the 2019/2020 season. Further new productions are planned for spring and autumn of 2021. She worked with producers including Tatjana Gürbaca, Daniel Kramer, Harry Kupfer, Henry Mason, David Pountney, Emma Rice, James Robinson, Kirill Serebrenikov, Jossie Wieler.
The German mezzo-soprano made her Salzburg Festival debut in 2013 and returned for a new production of Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier in 2014. In 2017, her debut at Verbier Festival followed in Strauss' Elektra and Salome under the batons of Esa-Pekka Salonen and Charles Dutoit. Idunnu Münch made her BBC Proms' debut in 2019. In June 2021, she will make her debut at Longborough Festival Opera, singing Dorabella in a new production of Mozart's Così fan tutte.
Idunnu Münch made her debuts at Opéra national du Rhin and Teatro alla Scala in Milan during the 2017/2018 season, singing Smaragdi in new productions of Zandonai's Francesca da Rimini, followed by her debuts in London (title role in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas in 2018) and at Komische Oper Berlin (Nimbavati in Handel's Poros in 2019). From 2015 up to 2017 a member of the Stuttgart's Opera Studio, she performed her first Cherubino in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro, Olga in Tchaikovsky's Jewgeni Onegin and Mary in Wagner's Der fliegende Holländer.
Idunnu Münch's concert repertoire includes various cantatas by Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Händel, Haydn, Knezek, Mozart as well as Haydn’s Arianna a Naxos. She performed with BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Camerata Salzburg, Mozarteumorchester Salzburg, Münchner Rundfunkorchester, Nürnberger Symphoniker, Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala di Milano, Vienna Philharmonic and under the baton of conductors including Ivor Bolton, Sylvain Cambreling, Charles Dutoit, Sian Edwards, Theodor Guschlbauer, Antony Hermus, Lothar Koenigs, Fabio Luisi, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Ulf Schirmer, Franz Welser-Möst.
