Eleanor Broomfield

Soprano

Eleanor Broomfield is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music where she studied on the Undergraduate and Preparatory Opera courses. She is also an alumnus of the Handel House Talent Scheme as well as being a recipient of a creative residency at the Red House in Aldeburgh. 

Operatic highlights include Sandmann & Dew Fairy/Playground Opera: Hansel & Gretel (Longborough Festival Opera); Juno, Melanto, Amor (cover), Tytania (cover) (Nevill Holt Opera); Bridesmaid in Der Freischütz for the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment with Mark Elder; First Witch at the Grange; and has worked with British Youth Opera and the Merry Opera Company.

Concert highlights include Haydn Heiligmesse with the City of London Choir and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Cadogan Hall, Haydn Kleine Orgelmesse with Cambridge Philharmonic Society in St John’s Chapel, Christmas Oratorio with the Oxford Harmonic Choir and the Orchestra of Stowe Opera, and St John Passion with the English Symphony Orchestra.

Eleanor takes great joy in performing song and has performed at Buckingham Palace, Oxford Lieder Festival, London Handel Festival and the Italian Cultural Institute. This year Eleanor makes her debut at Opera Holland Park as a Young Artist as the Dew Fairy/Hansel and Gretel.
