Eera is a contemporary dance artist currently based in London. She acquired her BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. She also gained her certification in professional dance training from The Danceworx, India and received a scholarship to train with Navdhara India Dance Theatre in Mumbai by Ashley Lobo.
Eera has performed at The Royal Opera House, London and at the Waterperry Opera Fesitival, Oxford. Her recent work includes a solo performance for Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, India with a piano accompaniment. She has also performed repertoire works of Joel Brown from Candoco Dance Company, Jean Abreu and Uday Shankar’s lead by Tanushree Shankar and Protima Charterjee.
Eera is a passionate teacher working with the Artis Foundation, providing holistic art education across various primary schools in London. Specialising in working with children with special needs, Eera provides teaching assistance for the youth dance classes at Trinity.
Her movement quality is driven by intention. She believes that movement is generated to be experienced and felt. It is a juxtaposition of intuition and the present state of mind. She believes that movement holds the power to free the mind and the body of any constraints and experience life in the present par.
