Canadian tenor Daniel Auchincloss studied at the University of Toronto and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. He has performed with the Royal Opera, Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Early Opera Company, New Chamber Opera, Iford Arts, Potsdamer Winteroper, Théâtre de Champs-Élysées and Boston Baroque.His roles include the title roles in Rameau’s Pigmalion, Daphnis et Eglé and Platée, Charpentier’s Actéon and Rossini’s Le Comte Ory, Linfea/La Calisto, Nencio in Haydn’s L’infedeltà delusa, Tchekalinski/Queen of Spades, Maestro Trabuco/La Forza del Destin, Valzacchi/Der Rosenkavalier, Hotel Porter/Death in Venice, and Police Inspector/The Nose. His many concerts include appearances with the Netherlands Bach Society, The King’s Consort, OAE, and l'Ensemble Vocal Heinrich Schütz. His recordings include Bach Cantatas with I Barocchisti (Arte), Biber Requiem in F, Paride ed Elena and the Monteverdi Vespers 1610 with The Gabrieli Consort (DG), Sacred Music of Claudio Monteverdi with The King’s Consort (Hyperion), and Mozart Missa brevis, K.194 and K.275 with St. Albans Cathedral Choirs (Naxos).
