Connor Baiano is a British-Italian bass who graduated from the Royal Academy of Music (RAM/RAO) with an Advanced Diploma in Opera in 2021, where he studied under Mark Wildman and Ingrid Surgenor. He then moved to Florence where he was employed by Mascarade Emerging Artists (MEA) from 2021-2023.
Connor’s most recent solo performances include General Lovarof in Camille Erlanger’s L’Aube Rouge for Wexford Festival Opera. He also performed the role of Hortensius in their Pocket Opera production of La Fille du Régiment.
He has recently performed scenes from Rossini’s La Cenerentola as Don Magnifico at ‘Teatro La Fenice’ (MEA). Other operatic performances include Luka in The Bear (MEA), Dulcamara in scenes from L’Elisir d’Amore (MEA), Selim in scenes from Il Turco in Italia (MEA), Father Trulove in scenes from The Rake’s Progress (MEA), and scenes from Don Pasquale as the title role (MEA). Other fully performed roles include Don Alfonso – Cosi fan tutte (RAO), Peter Quince – A Midsummer Night’s Dream (RAO), Sarastro – Die Zauberflöte (RAO/ cover at Longborough Festival Opera), Colline – La Bohème (Clonter Opera), Bertrand – Iolanta (RAO), and the roles of Lakai and Truffaldin – Ariadne auf Naxos (Berlin Opera Academy)
