Recent and previous highlights include, for ENO, Gorgio Germont & Marquis d’Obigny La Traviata, Dr Kolenaty The Makropulos Case, Nikitich Boris Godunov, The Cardinal The Duchess of Malfi, 1st SS Officer The Passenger, and the Guide Death in Venice (the latter bringing débuts at La Scala, Milan; La Monnaie; De Nederlandse Opera; and the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam); Don Alfonso Così fan tutte, Eisenstein Die Fledermaus, Michonnet Adriana Lecouvreur, Marco Gianni Schicchi, and Il Pedone La Wally (Opera Holland Park); Mr Gedge Albert Herring, Forester The Cunning Little Vixen, Talbot Maria Stuarda, and Scarpia Tosca (ETO); Scarpia Tosca (RTE Concert Orchestra), Golaud Pelléas et Mélisande (Paris); Garibaldo Rodelinda (BAM, New York); Macbeth (Singapore); and Smirnov The Bear (Switzerland).
