Anna Tolputt

Actor

Anna Tolputt trained as an actor at St Petersburg Academy and Webber Douglas. She has acted in theatres all over the UK as well as on site specific projects, tours, TV, film and pantomime. Roles include Hertha in Spring Storm at the National Theatre, Jean in The Entertainer for Derby Playhouse, Allison in Hellworld for Miramax, Emma in Larkrise to Candleford for the Finborough and Janny in A Small Light for Disney+.

For two years she was a member of Creation Theatre’s full time rep company where she played around 20 roles including Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing and the title role in Jonathan Holloway’s production of The Signalman.

She has directed two operas for Armonico Consort, been staff director for English Touring Opera and collaborated with composer, Jon Nichols and writer, Tom Morton-Smith on their short musical play, Blunderbuss. She co-wrote a verse version of The Nutcracker to perform with the Cambridge Philharmonic.
