We're very pleased to announce our new podcast series, which launches today with its first episode. We'll be welcoming friends from the world of opera and the arts - including singers, players, directors, conductors and more - for some thought-provoking discussions.
As we would have been thinking about Wagner's Die Walküre at this time of year, it seems a good place to start. In this first episode, music journalist Richard Bratby chats to our Music Director Anthony Negus and bass-baritone Paul Carey Jones, who would have been our Wotan in the 2020 season. In their discussion they trace Wotan's journey through the Ring cycle.
Thanks to Stuart Essenhigh on trumpet in the introduction. You can hear Paul singing Wagner on his YouTube channel. A transcript of this episode is available here.
