Insights on Pelléas et Mélisande

Insights on Pelléas et Mélisande with Anthony Negus and Polly Graham

An Insight Evening of words and music, focusing on Debussy's masterpiece Pelléas et Mélisande led by Artistic Director Polly Graham and Music Director Anthony Negus.

Ahead of our new 2025 production of Pelléas et Mélisande, directed by Jenny Ogilvie and conducted by our Music Director Anthony Negus, we are delighted to present an insight evening on Claude Debussy’s ground-breaking opera, undoubtedly influenced by the work of Richard Wagner.

Soprano Kateryna Kasper, who makes her Longborough debut in 2025 with the role of Mélisande, joins baritone Robert Hayward to sing excerpts from the opera as well as related fin de siècle art songs by Debussy.

Do join us for a stimulating evening of music, readings, creative ideas and discussion.

Arrivals from 7pm. The event will begin promptly at 7.30pm, and will be followed by drinks and canapés.

This event takes place at 22 Mansfield Street, London W1G 9NR.
