Work Experience

While there is the glamour of the stage, there are also so many roles to ensure the opera season goes smoothly. We regularly have students join us for work experience during the summer months. This enables students to see and experience what happens behind the scenes and to appreciate the different skill sets required. Alongside inspiring future audience members, we also need to inspire future arts professionals! Longborough has welcomed work experience students for many years.

In addition, our season is reliant on a group of approximately fifteen young people who help us during the summer months to transform the Graham’s home and grounds into a site to welcome approximately 7,500 audience members. Their role is essential to ensuring the marquees, site and theatre are ready for use. You will see many of them throughout your evening, helping in the marquees, perhaps serving you in the restaurant, or helping with the parking.
